Discovering Your Employee’s Strengths and Coaching to Optimize Performance

As a coach, a manager must identify employees’ strengths and needs in relation to their job responsibilities and work assignments. Coaches must develop an understanding of both the individual and group dynamics, and know when and how to coach individuals and the team to higher levels of performance. 

Participants will have the opportunity to:  

             • Understand the value of coaching as a manager.

• Be introduced to tools to identify the strengths of your direct reports and the team.

• Learn how to empower your employees to take responsibility for their personal and career development.

• Recognize opportunities for coaching team members both individually and collectively.

• Practice coaching techniques using various scenarios.

Location:  Room 30 in the Business and Community Services building, on the UNI campus.

Facilitator
:  Dr. Ronelle Langley is President of Executive Coaching International with offices in Chicago, Boston, Europe, South Africa, and Iowa.  In this position, she works as a strategic partner with senior executives from Fortune 500 and global companies in their professional and personal development.  Ronelle is a Visiting Professor in the College of Business Administration.
