UNI CEO (also known as the JPEC Student Entrepreneur Organization or UNI Entrepreneurship Club) is open to all UNI students interested in entrepreneurship and small business. We especially encourage traditional UNI students (ages 17-25) to be active in the organization, as they will be the entrepreneurs of the future. You do not need to be starting a small business at this time to be part of CEO. CEO is also for people who might want to start a business in the future. With CEO you learn from each other and from experts. You learn the basics and more.

CEO members have the opportunity to attend the Annual Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization Conference held each fall at various locations in the United States. Nearly 1,000 students from schools all over the country attend this exciting event. While at the conference, students have the opportunity to hear from a variety of well-known entrepreneurs, network with successful and aspiring entrepreneurs and other entrepreneurial students, learn how to start a business and operate it effectively, and enjoy the sights of the host city. For more information, go to http://www/c-e-o.org

Additionally, CEO members will participate in the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Iowa Conference held annually in the spring by one of the Pappajohn Centers. This year's conference will be held at the University of Northern Iowa on March 6, 2009.

Four UNI students attended the National CEO Conference in Chicago from November 1-3, 2007. They were Ryan Johnson, Megan Ruplinger, Germaine Jackson and Michael Wieland.
